Some mods for older games, such as Fallout 3, Oblivion and Fallout New Vegas, were packaged incorrectly because Mod Managers were fairly new at the time, so there's a possibility that the mod you're using wasn't packaged correctly so the ESP isn't actually in the DATA folder. A truly ambitious mod showcasing the great lengths this amazing community will go to in order to make Fallout an even bigger experience, this mod adds in a full fifth faction called The Union of Independent Federations. The Dark Heresy Corebook Lists the starting skills and equipment for a guardsman for which I chose Swim, Pistol Training Las and Basic weapon training SP. Basically what I am doing is adjusting my skills to keep up with the Dark Heresy levels as much as I can.
My character's starting world is Mind Cleansed; and so gains the Jaded, Imperial Conditioning and Through a Mirror Darkly traits, which I will roleplay out. In addition he receives some extra weapon training, which makes the list look like this;
Melee Weapon Training Primitive
Pistol Training Las
Basic Weapon Training SP
Basic Weapon Training Las
Pistol Training Primitive
Pistol Training SP
I am playing on Hardcore Mode for moar Grimdark.
Starting gear:
Axe, Hammer or Sword; Axe-spawned a hatchet.
Flintlock Pistol or Las Pistol; Las Pistol
Lasgun or Shotgun or Musket; Lasgun
Knife - Using the straight razor from the Doc's
Guard Flak Armor with Goggles spawned as well
Uniform or Stealth Clothes; Uniform. Spawned Lieutenant's Hat
As an Extra I spawned a 'flak backpack'.
I chose the raider Race, and made the character as ugly and intimidating as possible.... The result
Hellz Yes.
Character Backstory;
Conscripted from a harsh jungle world, Ravion Baxter was conscripted into the Imperial Guard as party of his planet's Tithe. He joined, ready to protect his tribe and planet from the Imperium's enemies. A giant of a man, Baxter was a gruff and competent soldier. Assigned to a terrible war world, called Malice, Ravion was subject to the horrors of war. After a particularly bloody victory over the enemy, Ravion was called away for questioning. An order had been sent down that an individual had been suspected of heresy and conspiracy with the enemy, that individual was not Ravion, but a mistake by an overworked clerk caused the wrong man to be tortured for confession.
Unable to extract enough information, the military turned Ravion over to the Inquisition for further questioning. Annoyed with his insistence of innocence, the interrogators broke Ravion's mind with countless interrogation and torture sessions. Passed from handler to handler, subjected to the horrors of the Inquisition, a curious Inquisitor discovered the years old mistake that had landed Ravion, now nicknamed The Mistake into a decade of hell. Deciding to keep him for cannon fodder, the Mistake was mind cleansed to be prepared for Inquisitorial service.
The years have warped the Mistake into a thing, more than a man. Bar-codes and torture scars decorate almost every square inch of his skin. He speaks in brief phrases and always has a look of murder and hatred in his eyes, though his loyalty to the Imperium is still intact. More than anything, he wants to share his twisted pain with those who did this to him, for which he blames the traitors he was told he fought long ago.
TLDR; Playing one tough and pissed off guardsman ready to spread a little righteous vengeance around.
The excuse I have for him showing up on an alternate Tera long ago... THE WARP!
